There are several basic things to do when you find yourself in a transition: personal asssessment of where you stand in various areas of your life:
spiritual growth,
personal relationships,
physical health and well being,
skills and talents
Spiritual Growth
Often our God uses transition times as a way to get our attention.
Have you found yourself questioning what on earth He is asking of you? Do you feel afraid rather than in awe of Him? Many people don't realize that we can have just as strong bonds of fear as we do love bonds with God as well as with people.
Personal Relationships
How am I doing in terms of taking good care of myself and those people closest to me? Do I find myself being taken advantage of by others? Do I take advantage of them? If this transition involves unemployment, do I find it hard to feel good about myself while not working?
Physical Health and Well-Being
Are you or someone you care about feeling sad or depressed either leading to or a result of this transition?
